Set in Jubilee’s private woodlands in Padworth, Berkshire, the event brought more than 500 people together, including the staff, nursery children, their siblings, parents and grandparents, who all enjoyed an array of magical festivities during the afternoon.
It started with an enchanting walk through the woods, passing the newborn lambs at the nursery’s farm, followed by Christmas carols and the chance for everybody to enjoy the Elves crafting workshop and Christmas stalls - all while tucking into some delicious home-made refreshments.
It ended with a surprise visit from Father Christmas who arrived on his sleigh with a sack of presents for the children.
Sian Caine, nursery manager at Jubilee Gems, said: “This year marks ten years since we began the Winter Wonderland Walk at Jubilee. It is a truly special event that we all look forward to celebrating together. The staff at both nurseries work extremely hard to ensure the children and their families have a truly wonderful day and can soak up the spirit of Christmas together.”
This year the event supports Jubilee’s chosen charities; Cancer Research UK, NSPCC and Save the Children, with donations made by Jubilee’s families and nursery staff.
